All the DC Reboot naysayers are likely eating their words right about now because as it turns out, it was a ridiculous financial success. Justice League #1 is on its, what, 379th reprint by now? Justice League #1 is the best selling comic book of 2011. The book sold out in 24 hours, and about 200,000 of those were pre-orders. Of course, more would be reprinted. On eBay, I saw one go for $15, even though the retail cost is pegged at $2.99. Action Comics #1 also went out just as quick and it'll likely to be just as expensive in the coming years.
Thing is, I don't understand why. I thought Justice League #1 was subpar, at best. Everyone spoke like a bunch of kids on XBox Live. Action Comics #1 and Detective Comics #1 took that and brought it down to a whole other level of douchebaggery.

As I was reading through it, I was constantly going "What the fuck!? Seriously?" quite audibly. It started out okay, and the new costume finally grew on me. The new Batduds aren't bad and they make sense for him, as a character. As I flipped through the pages, it started degenerating. My biggest problem with the whole issue is the way Batman talks. It reads like a parody of Frank Miller's goddamned Batman.
Take that sequence, for example. Saying "I am Gotham" while beating the psychosis out of some villain or intimidating a group of thugs would have been acceptable. Cool, even. But to say it in a normal conversation with Jim? It just sounds like some teenager told Batman what to say. "Batman, tell Jim Gordon that you ARE GOTHAM! That should scare the daylights out of him!" Though, I do love Gordon's subtle way of saying "You sound like a dickhead, Batman."

Last week, Sony silently released their official simulated 7.1 headset for the PS3. It was met with great reviews on YouTube. A few days later, these cans made their way to Datablitz. Here's the catch - each branch only got 1 unit! I made my way to the closest Datablitz but I got there a few minutes too late as it was already reserved. They were accepting reservations but they weren't selling the units because they didn't a price in pesos yet.
In the US, they go for $99. At the time of writing, Datablitz has finally released their official price - P3,995! Holy balls that is a goddamn good price! You get P200 off when you pay in cash, so that's about P3,795! Those who were able to reserve are already able to pick up their official PS3 headphones. Yeah, it's only a little pricier than the bluetooth headset, which I bought but barely use. I guess I'll bring that thing to the office and use it to look like a doucher when I take my calls.
It comes with 1 week warranty for replacement, but that's about it. Unfortunately, as of now, Sept. 12, 2011, there are no reports of new stocks. They said they might have some more coming in soon! We'll post a review as soon as we get our grubby, greasy, cheeto-laced hands on it.
