There's a new CG animation on Cartoon Network and it looks like it's a lot of fun. Mechamato is coming to Cartoon Network!
The show stars Amato, who comes into possession of a destroyer robot called MechaBot, who can turn anything into a super high-tech mechanized object. Their main mission is to track down robot convicts who escaped to Earth from a ship that crash-landed!
In amongst all the action and the jokes, Mechamato is a story about companionship, imagination, and innovation. Kids are going to love it!
Leslie Lee, Head of Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific
Mechamato is created by Monsta, based out of Cyberjaya in Malaysia, which is interesting to me because it's time we start seeing some world-class animation out of South-East Asia.
Mechamato is about the friendship between Amato, a boy with crazy ideas, and MechaBot, a robot with the ability to materialize those ideas into cool mechanizations. The show is packed with action, humor, and tons of interesting characters and robots. We hope Mechamato will encourage kids to be more creative and innovative in their daily lives.
Anas Abdul Aziz, Monsta’s Chief Content Officer and Mechamato showrunner
The show will show exclusively on Cartoon Network (Skycable Ch 43 SD/178 HD & Cignal Ch 74 SD/220 HD) starting Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:45 AM on weekends.
For some reason, I'm predicting this as early as now - it'll grow alongside its audience and become the new generation's Samurai Jack or Ben 10, a show that matures and grows as the fan base grows up and matures, and it will gradually become more and more awesome.
