Are you excited for Jump Force? Do you speak Thai? Well, guess what - Bandai Namco has announced that Jump Force is the first game ever they'll ever publish to receive Thai localization. That's a pretty big deal, and not just for Thai gamers. It means our region is deemed important enough to be given some attention. Who knows, maybe a Filipino localized version could in the cards in the next few years. The version with the TH localization will be available for the entire South East Asian region. The game is set to launch on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and February 15, 2019 for Xbox One and PC.
"Thailand is one of the fastest growing gaming market in Southeast Asia propelled by the strong gaming community and it is our key market in this region. We see the potential and the importance of Thai localization. Jump Force is the start of this epic journey and we are excited to continue growing and supporting the Thai gaming community in the months and years to come by" - Rainel Tan, General Manager, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Asia.
Also, it was very recently announced that City Hunter's Ryo Saeba and Fist of the North Star's Kenshiso are joining the cast of Jump Force.
I can't claim to know enough about these two characters so let me quote the press release.
Ryo Saeba is the main protagonist in the City Hunter series. Raised as a guerilla fighter, he formed the “City Hunter” team in Tokyo and later became a highly skilled marksman known for executing the “one-hole-shot”. He knows hand-to-hand combat very well.
Kenshiro is Fist of the North Star series’ iconic and main character. Wandering the ravaged world after a post-apocalyptic World, Kenshiro practice the Hokuto Shinken, an ancient martial art rooted in different fighting styles to protect the weak and innocent. His fighting style makes use of the opponents’ 708 Keiraku Hikō, also known as pressure points, to destroy enemy from within.
