Part of the enjoyment I derive from gaming is taking screenshot after screenshot after screenshot, and the odd video here and there. My screenshot folder is already pushing 500GB, which is quite frankly ludicrous! Witcher 3 - a very photogenic game - takes up about 200GB of that. Weirdly enough, I'm not the only one with this affliction. There are a number of reasons why people do it - one reason could be that the feeling of taking screenshots is similar to the feeling of taking snaps in real life. It's fulfilling the desire to preserve a moment that moved you somehow.
Another big reason is the social aspect of it - much like the same way we take pics of our food for Instagram. It's because what's usually meant to be a solitary experience is much better when shared and appreciated by other people. You get bonus endorphin points when your shots get a lot of attention. I live for 'em likes and retweets, son.
Here are a few of my favorite shots:
After walking the path.
Geralt, in the very first few moments of starting a Witcher 3 playthrough.
A place of power. I must draw from it.
Full moon, in the forest, during a thunderstorm. What could go wrong?

The caretaker. Man, I hated this fight.
Iris Von Everec, from the wonderfully written Witcher 3 expansion, Hearts of Stone
My favorite Widowmaker skin ever

Lara Croft, being a badass.
Straight outta the comics!
Do you have the screenshot bug, too? Off the top of my head, I can actually name two other dudes who are addicted to screenies, too. If you have screenshots you're proud of, I'd love to see em'!
